PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED 1/60 RX-93 nu Gundam
Release Date: January 2026
Price: 66,000 Yen

To celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Gunpla, one of the most iconic mobile suits in the Gundam franchise is making its ultimate comeback. The RX-93 Nu Gundam — the legendary suit piloted by Amuro Ray in Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack — will be reimagined as a PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED 1/60 scale model, set to roll out in January 2026!

This release captures the moment when Amuro’s Nu Gundam vanished into the light, reborn now through the pinnacle of Gunpla engineering and design.

â–  PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
POINT.01 – ULTIMATE UNIT SYSTEM

Experience a never-before-seen level of detail with a completely redesigned internal frame structure. This PGU Nu Gundam allows builders to enjoy a layered "construction experience," mimicking the true build of a mobile suit down to its individual sections: head, shoulders, chest, arms, hands, waist, and legs.

Promo video for the PG Unleashed Nu Gundam has just dropped!
The video features exclusive interviews with Project Lead Taro Inayoshi and Design Lead Daichi Sone, offering insights into the creation of this 1/60 scale masterpiece.

POINT.02 – FIN FUNNELS & HIGH-DETAIL WEAPONS

The Nu Gundam's iconic fin funnels — its offensive and defensive psycommu weaponry — are fully recreated with complex articulation. These large-scale parts can slide and rotate to switch between three display modes and can be firmly mounted using custom support arms.

Additional weapons include:
  • Beam Rifle with sliding fore-end and rotating grip
  • Missile-equipped Shield mountable on either arm
  • Two Beam Sabers with curved-effect parts
  • New Hyper Bazooka with working slide barrel, detachable magazine, and support arm for dynamic posing
â–  ABOUT THE MOBILE SUIT
Designed with Amuro Ray’s involvement, the RX-93 Nu Gundam represents the Earth Federation’s ultimate Newtype-use mobile suit. Built by Anaheim Electronics, the unit incorporated Neo Zeon's psycho-frame technology, enhancing its responsiveness and allowing it to far exceed combat expectations in UC 0093.

Its defining moment came in the final battle at Axis, where Amuro faced off against Char Aznable to stop the asteroid’s collision with Earth. Now, that very machine — the one that vanished in a luminous awakening — is reborn as a PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED kit.

    1. Given the price comparison between the MGs I don't think the Nu is going to be cheaper than the RX78-2..... Probably will be about $100 more (or at least 40% more given the sizes and whatever gimmicks like Pyscho frames and how much they want to allow you to display the funnels go)

    2. Bad news, it's 66,000 JPY, or around 450 USD.

    3. Really you get PGU Gundam for only £130? Are you sure it's a Bandai one?

  2. I've been waiting for this moment for so long, i figure the reason it took so long to release this pg is the fin funnels, can not wait to see how they engineered them. I'm sure the geniuses at bandai cooked up something solid, maybe even got Katoki involved.

    1. The key thing is the transparent mount they have to hold them up on the back when on the stand. You can see it in some of the pics. Now if ONLY we could get a PGU Sazabi my world would be complete.

  3. Is this going to be a full model kit or a pre built figure

  4. I'm excited also. Big fan of the design. Perfect opportunity to display all functions of the mobile suit. Wish they made a Barbatos also.
