A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Dismantling
In April 2024, the meticulous dismantling of the moving Gundam began. This monumental task required a team of experts, state-of-the-art equipment, and unparalleled precision to ensure every piece of the Gundam was carefully handled, preserving the legacy of this engineering wonder.
Adding depth to the story, the operation took place alongside another high-stakes event at Sakata Port in Yamagata, where a massive crane ship removed a 40-ton block from the seabed. This challenging task, complicated by wartime remnants, mirrored the precision and skill required for dismantling the moving Gundam.
