The Gundam Base has unveiled the upcoming release of the Master Grade 1/100 Gundam Mk-V in a stunning clear color version. Set for February 2025, this exclusive kit will be available only at Gundam Base Japan, while supplies last.

The MG 1/100 Gundam Mk-V showcases the iconic design of the mobile suit with Master Grade's signature precision and attention to detail. The clear blue body color highlights its unique aesthetic, complemented by color-coded parts that recreate the striking white accents on the head, chest, and legs. Additionally, the kit faithfully reproduces various weapon gimmicks, including the Incom, for an authentic build experience.

The Gundam Mk-V, developed by the Augusta Newtype Research Institute as a refined successor to the MRX-009 Psycho Gundam, was a groundbreaking prototype mobile suit. Originally commissioned by the Titans, its development transitioned to the Federation Forces as the political tide shifted in favor of the AEUG. Though three prototypes were completed, the Mk-V did not see combat by the end of the Gryps Conflict.

Unlike its predecessor, the Psycho Gundam, the Mk-V featured the innovative Quasi-psycommu system, enabling operation by regular pilots without Newtype enhancements. This system also allowed for control of the wire-guided INCOM weapons stored in its backpack. Additionally, it could be equipped with a shield booster, enhancing thrust and mobility, similar to the RX-121 Gundam TR-1 Hazel. With exceptional armor and agility, the Mk-V was a formidable unit, though its intense speed and maneuverability posed risks to pilots, as experienced by Brave Cod, who suffered severe injuries during an emergency evasion.
