At the 2025 Japan International Expo (Osaka Kansai World Expo), BANDAI NAMCO Holdings unveiled the life-size Gundam statue at their “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” for the first time to the media on October 23. This statue includes a feature where the Gundam’s head docks into position, and a safety prayer was held during its installation.

The “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” explores themes from the Gundam series, including “life in space” and “future science and technology.” Visitors will experience a vision of the future where living in space, traveling via orbital elevators, and the coexistence of mobile suits and humans are everyday realities. The pavilion is divided into seven phases, immersing guests in this futuristic world.

The unveiled Gundam statue, standing about 17 meters tall, is featured as the “RX-78F00/E Gundam” in pavilion videos. With its hand raised towards space, it symbolizes humanity’s leap into a new era of space exploration.

More details on the pavilion’s experience and the Gundam’s armor will be shared later. Stay tuned for updates, including the STORY of the “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION.”

Additionally, Bandai Namco has confirmed the release of special merchandise, including Chogokin figures and, naturally, GunPla models of the RX-78F00/E, to commemorate the pavilion’s grand opening in April 2025.
