The newly released trailer highlights the anime's Mixed Reality (MR) feature, showcasing an exciting MR battle mode.
"Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom" is designed to offer a deeply immersive experience, allowing viewers to engage with the Gundam universe in an entirely new way. Rather than just watching the action on a screen, participants will be thrust into the narrative, able to experience battles and explore the Gundam world from a first-person viewpoint. This VR anime seeks to merge the iconic storytelling of Gundam with the cutting-edge interactive possibilities that virtual reality technology offers.
SYNOPSIS (names subject to change upon final confirmation)
Set in the year UC 0096, the story follows Argent Keil, an unofficial mercenary group that operates independently of both the Federation and Zeon. The group is secretly hired by the Federation to carry out a high-stakes mission: the assassination of Azami Megine, a top Federation official involved in covert dealings with Zeon. Unable to publicly acknowledge Azami’s existence due to the sensitive nature of his betrayal, the Federation seeks to eliminate him quietly through Argent Keil.
As Argent Keil’s fleet prepares to embark on their mission, they are suddenly ambushed by a Federation Jegan unit, signaling an unexpected betrayal. In the midst of this chaos, the group's secret weapon—a silver mobile suit known as Delta Zayin—is launched into space, setting the stage for a fierce and unpredictable battle.
