Exciting news for art and Gundam enthusiasts! A new collaboration between artist COIN PARKING DELIVERY and the Gundam series has been confirmed. The unique sculpture, titled "Playing is Not Bad," or "Playing is Not Evil" will be showcased in Makuhari New City, Chiba, as part of the "MUSIC LOVES ART 2024 -MICUSRAT-" project.

This project, orchestrated by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, is a celebration of the fusion of music and art. It aims to position Japan as a global hub for culture and the arts by creating and exhibiting artworks with universal appeal. From August 12th to 25th, visitors can experience a wide array of art installations by young artists, featuring large-screen displays at stations across Makuhari New City, central Osaka City, and Suita City.

The sculpture "Playing is Not Evil" will be exhibited at the Makuhari Messe Central Plaza from August 16th to 18th and later at Toyosuna Umikaze Plaza on August 24th and 25th. The sculpture features "Shirai-san," a representative character of COIN PARKING DELIVERY, depicted as a striking three-dimensional figure seemingly leaping out of a Gunpla "RG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.2.0" box.

Gundam Info has recently conducted an in-depth interview with COIN PARKING DELIVERY to discuss the themes and messages behind the artwork, the artist's personal connection with Gundam, and their aspirations for the future. This interview provides fascinating insights into the creative process and is a must-read for fans.

Exclusive merchandise from Summer Sonic 2024 x CPD x Gundam will also be available to commemorate the event. Check pricing through the official Summer Sonic 2024 website.
