Gundam Funko Pop! Vinyl Figures Now Available for Pre-Order

Gundam enthusiasts and Funko Pop! collectors alike have a reason to celebrate as Amazon US has finally listed the much-anticipated RX-78-2 Gundam and Char's Zaku II Funko Pop! vinyl figures for pre-order. These figures are slated for release in October 2024, and are priced at $24.99 each.

The RX-78-2 Gundam and Char's Zaku II are among the most iconic mobile suits in the Gundam franchise, and Funko has done a remarkable job capturing their essence in POP! vinyl form. These figures are part of Funko's super-sized 6-inch collection, which means they are larger than the standard Funko Pop! figures, allowing for more detailing and a bigger display presence.

  • RX-78-2 Gundam: Known as the original Gundam from the Mobile Suit Gundam series, the RX-78-2 has become a symbol of the franchise. The Funko Pop! figure features the classic color scheme and detailed design that fans have come to love.
  • Char's Zaku II: The personal mobile suit of Char Aznable, this figure captures the distinctive red coloring that sets Char's Zaku II apart from other mobile suits.
The release is particularly remarkable because it commemorates the 45th anniversary of the Gundam series. Since its premiere in 1979, Gundam has become a cultural icon, influencing innumerable other works in the mecha genre and amassing a devoted fan base worldwide. These Funko Pop! figures commemorate this milestone by bringing two of the most beloved mobile suits to life in a way that fans of all ages can enjoy.
