G Gundam's side story, "Tenchi Tengaku" follows the intertwined fates of two disciples, the female swordswoman Dugu Qiubai and Master Asia (Touhou Fuhai), who trained under the same Master in the Guiana Highlands.

The story begins with a flashback to the Guiana Highlands, where Dugu Qiubai and Master Asia, as young disciples, engage in intense sparring sessions under their Master’s guidance. Their rivalry and training techniques are highlighted. Their Master discusses the Gundam Fight and its significance, posing the question of whether it is the right path. Dugu Qiubai receives the emblem of "King of Hearts," signifying her entry into the Shuffle Alliance.

The narrative shifts to Dugu Qiubai's reflection on the devastating effects of Gundam Fights on villages and people. She intervenes in a fight, breaking the Shuffle Alliance's non-intervention rule, to protect innocent villagers. During this confrontation, Dugu Qiubai loses her right arm, a reminder of the price she paid for her intervention. Upon returning, Dugu Qiubai discovers that Master Asia has been chosen as the new leader of their school, leading to a dramatic and emotional confrontation. Feeling betrayed and unjustly replaced, Dugu Qiubai exiles herself.

Dugu Qiubai embarks on a journey filled with battles and destruction, seeking to cope with her loss and anger. She reflects on her actions and their consequences, leading to a confrontation with Master Asia. The story culminates in a final encounter where Dugu Qiubai and Master Asia face their past grievances and the impact of their choices. Dugu Qiubai realizes the futility of her vengeance and seeks redemption.

In the prologue to Chapter 4, Dugu Qiubai reflects on the past events and the burden of her actions, setting the stage for a resolution to her personal grudges and the ongoing conflict with Master Asia.
