Gundam SEED Freedom 4th Trailer Features "Freedom" Theme Song by Takanori Nishikawa with t.komuro

The latest trailer also briefly revealed the Gelgoog Menace in action with the Immortal Justice Gundam.

On Sunday, the fourth promotional video for the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM film project was released. The video confirms and features the theme song "Freedom" by Takanori Nishikawa (aka T.M. Revolution) with producer t.komuro (Tetsuya Komuro).

Takanori Nishikawa is also well recognized for the ''SEED series'' opening theme and "BEYOND THE TIME," the theme song for the 1988 Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack film. The FREEDOM song is the result of Nishikawa's long-awaited cooperation with Tetsuya Komuro, a TM NETWORK member whom he admires.

Furthermore, the event "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FESTIVAL FREEDOM TO A NEW FUTURE" featuring Soichiro Hoshi, Rie Tanaka, Kenichi Suzumura, Hiro Shimono, and others will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Pacifico Yokohama National Hall in Kanagawa.

Comment from Takanori Nishikawa
Although the theatrical version has been announced for many years, I was concerned about the huge changes that have occurred in the world, particularly in the last 20 years.
I was more concerned with ''What type of concepts should I put into my work?'' than with ''What kind of music should I create?''
As a result, it was more difficult than earlier projects. I think that my role in this effort is not only to finish the story of ''SEED,'' but also to tie the past and present together based on Gundam's history and pass it on to the next generation. I'm excited to see how everyone reacts to it and how it resonates with everyone.

Comment from Tetsuya Komuro

After 35 years since I provided the music for ''Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack,'' I was granted the opportunity to write the theme song for ''SEED.''

It's a miracle in my opinion.

Gundam stands out among all the events threatening the planet.
I wanted to put my heart and soul into it.

This is my first time working with Takanori Nishikawa, and his singing skill astounds me, which is as expected.

Please keep an eye out for the theatrical release!

Comment from the Director Mitsuo Fukuda

The Gundam SEED series finished over 20 years ago. When we first considered the opening theme, we had in mind a tune similar to ''THUNDERBIRD.'' And the well-known song "INVOKE" was released. Later, he headed the world of works in the form of "Meteor". Mr. Nishikawa's enthusiasm for Gundam has been beautifully realized, in my opinion. In addition, as an actor and artist, he has supported SEED through numerous mediums, and I am now proud to call him an ally and staff member. This time, he has channeled his long-dormant love for Gundam into a lovely song.

The impassioned a cappella singing at the opening of the song that sings the work's theme is the highlight. My heart shook! This film adaptation of ''Gundam SEED'' depicts a planet that has been linked for 20 years. This song is a great performance that unites the unchanged world and the transformed present, and you will be immediately captivated into the world. We hope that all viewers will enjoy the great theme tune, which carries the thoughts of everyone who has waited for 20 years.
