Gundam 0080: 1/144 Santa and Snowman Ad Balloon Soft Vinyl Figures [Gundam Side-F / Gundam Base Limited] - Release Info

The Gundam Side-F facility is commemorating the impending holiday season by releasing 1/144 scale replicas of the Santa Claus and Snowman ad balloons seen in the 1989 Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket OVA series. 

The models are fully painted and composed of soft vinyl. Featuring wrinkle details for a more authentic feel.

Both will be available for 1,650 Yen each at the Gundam Side-F facility and Gundam Base Stores in Japan beginning November 23, 2023.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket is a six-episode Japanese science fiction original video animation series that premiered in 1989. It is the Gundam franchise's debut OVA series. Fumihiko Takayama directed it, Hiroyuki Yamaga wrote it, and Haruhiko Mikimoto designed the characters.

As implied by its subtitle, "War in the Pocket," it is a modest, personal story; a side story focusing on the experiences of an eleven-year-old child during the One Year War and his discovery of the true meaning of war. Gundam 0080 was a big shift for the Gundam franchise at the time, and it gained widespread appreciation from critics.
