The American multinational fast food chain, McDonald's Corporation has announced a collaboration with Gundam and GunPla to commemorate the Bandai X Tmall Super Brand Day.
To celebrate the special event, Bandai Tmall announces that an exclusive Entry Grade 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam (Big Mac ver.) will be sold for limited time and quantities. When you purchase a Big Mac separately or as a set, you will receive a random limited edition card to be used for the official Gundam mobile game, Mobile Suit Gundam Supreme Battle, currently launching in Mainland China. There are 12 card types in total and in addition to the consecutive 10 Gundams, there are special cards for the RX-78-2 Gundam, which is featured in Big Mac suit and Angus suit.
In addition, 50 Gundam statues will be displayed at the McDonald's Gundam-themed store in mainland China for a limited time [see full list of stores]. Among them, "Shanghai Longteng Boulevard Restaurant" and "Shenzhen Happy Coast Drive-Thru Restaurant" will be "transformed" into Gundam-themed flagship stores during the period. Limited events will also take place.
I think we might need more than 2.3k article shares before Bandai Spirits notices that this needs to happen all over the world. They have the Entry Grade RX-78-2 Gundam all over the shelves, so might as well sell them to Mcdonalds.
ReplyDeleteWhat a missed opportunity to make a Big Zam Value Meal.
