HOBBY LINK JAPAN

HobbyLink Japan, located in Kurohakama-cho, Sano, Tochigi, Japan, stands as a prominent figure in the world of hobby and model enthusiasts. Established on January 6, 1997, with a capital of 38 million yen, the company has flourished under the leadership of President and CEO Yasu Watanabe. With a strong team of over 75 employees as of May 2022, HobbyLink Japan has made significant strides in the import and export of models, plastic models, toys, and related items.

Tracing its roots back to 1995, HobbyLink Japan initially began as an online overseas mail order business, a pioneering step in the hobby retail sector. The company was formally incorporated in Adachi, Tokyo, in 1997, marking the beginning of an era that would see HobbyLink Japan become a household name among hobbyists globally. The subsequent years witnessed notable milestones, such as the relocation of its headquarters to Tatebayashi, Gunma in 1999, followed by another move to its current location in Sano, Tochigi in 2007.

Expanding its reach, HobbyLink Japan opened its online domestic mail order business in 2009 through the website hlj.co.jp, complementing its international presence on hlj.com and its content-rich platform hobbylink.tv. In a significant move in 2013, HobbyLink Japan acquired all shares of Beaver Corporation, bringing the company under its wing as a subsidiary. This acquisition marked a key moment in the company's history, showcasing its commitment to growth and diversification in the hobby industry.
