Gundam Blog 03: Char's Counterattack to Celebrate its 35th Year in 2023

The Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack anime film that premiered in 1988 is going to celebrate its 35th anniversary next year - on March 12th, 2023 to be exact. The film also made its American debut back in January 2003 via Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

While on its way to its 35 years, Bandai Namco Group and other Gundam affiliated companies have been continuously releasing products and events related to the title. This include the erection of the RX-93ff nu Gundam in front of the Mitsui Shopping Park Lalaport Fukuoka, Japan along with the Gundam Side-F facility inside the building, which was themed after Char's Counterattack.

The Bandai Collector Division has also announced the release of the MSN-04 Sazabi in their Metal Structure (KAITAI-SHOU-KI) high-end and luxurious figure series in December 2022 for 189,200 Yen.

Bandai Spirits, also announced a series of limited GunPla related to the title, exclusively in the Gundam Base and Gundam Side-F facilities. The lineup include the 1/144 vinyl models of the balloon dummies of Re-GZ, and nu Gundam, followed by the HGUC Jegan (Axis Shock Image colors), and MG Ver.
