Life-sized Aerial Gundam Head Made of GunPla Runners will be Installed
It has been decided that the Gundam R (Recycling) Project 2022, an activity to raise awareness in recycling plastic using Gundam model leftovers, will be held at more than 45 locations in Japan, including the venue for the Gundam comprehensive event "Gundam Next Future".
The event will be expanding its project by continuously inspiring the modelers in Japan, and around the world to recycle the plastic runners after building their GunPla models. Each of the recycled GunPla runners will be re-used for the next GunPla models and other Bandai Spirits product releases in the line!

The project has a proud record of 11-ton worth of collected plastic runners in 2021 alone since they started the initiative.
To help celebrate the project, each participating event and venue related to the "Gundam R Operation 2022" will be distributing a GunPla experience kit of Eco-Pla 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam, a special booklet and a limited sticker sheet for free! After having fun assembling the Gunpla, you can actually put the runner in the collection box and feel the circulation of plastic close to you.
In addition, a GunPla-runner-made life-sized head model of the Aerial Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury will be on display at Gundam Next Future - TOKYO BASE- event at Sankaku Hiroba, Shinjuku Building, Tokyo from September 29th, 2022, to extend the celebration of the project's success and the upcoming TV anime's launch in October.
