HGGB 1/144 Gundam 00 Command Quanta - Release Info

HGGB 1/144 Gundam 00 Command Quanta
Release Date: January 2022
Price: 2,200 Yen

The Gundam Breaker Battlogue extends its release with the 00 Quanta cloaked with Command Gundam armors and equipment. An abundance of bladed weapons are available in this custom GunPla, that includes a combat sword, two combat knives, and a heavy machine gun installed with bayonet.

The kit is also equipped with a missile launcher on its left side attached to its backpack. It also has an arms shield that's attached to its left arm.

  1. this is actually one of the coolest re-designs i've ever seen. its like a full armor quanta

  2. Dingdingdin! We have a winner.
It doesn't even look like the original 00 Qan[T] anymore. Getting kind of a Virtue Physical vibe.

  3. Hmm, can't help but note the lack of GN Drives on this admittedly cool 00 Gundam.

    1. I think it's supposed to be more Command Gundam than Quan[T]. The idea afaic is to make a standard-proportion Command Gundam, and the Quan[T] made a decent base to build off of in that sense.

    2. I like how this kit diverges from the glowy, curvy 00 aesthetic and instead goes for a more militaristic, utilitarian look. Definitely seeing a lot of customization and kitbash potential here. 00 suits are cool, but parts from 00 kits only really look good with other 00 stuff. With this kit, that might not be a problem.

    3. To be fair, the GN Drives in the original Quanta were considerably understated compared to previous suits (honestly, I didn't even realize the second drive was stored in the shoulder shield until I got that part in Breakers 3 lol).

  4. one of the best swords in recent memory. Grimgerde's is still number 1 but this is a close second... katanas dont count

  5. The design is certainly unique and cool as hell, but I can't help thinking the weapon loadout is kinda... lacking versus the original Quanta.

That being said, I think there's probably more to this kit than what is shown here. For instance, there's those holes in the hilts of the large sword and the daggers. This could hint that they combine, like the GN Sword Bits of the original, but unlike the Sword Bits, it's not clear how they would fit together.

I'm thinking this kit probably has more weapons, but Bandai's going to release them seperately, like the Core Gundam weapons or other Build-series weapon expansions. Which would be kinda lame, imo :/
