The red Rick Dias piloted by Quattro Bajeena from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is getting a major refresh with a newly updated HG release based on the HGUC Rick Dias!
This upgraded version features newly molded exterior parts across almost the entire mobile suit, including the head, shoulders, arms, waist, and legs, bringing the overall look much closer to the original design artwork seen in the series. The sharper head sculpt and newly detailed armor parts give the Rick Dias a more modern and refined appearance while still keeping that classic heavy AEUG style fans love.

The articulation has also been heavily updated to match the latest HG standards. New elbow, hip, and knee joints allow for a much wider range of motion, including double-jointed knees and improved rolling movement in the thighs and hips. Whether it’s aiming the Clay Bazooka or recreating combat scenes from Zeta Gundam, this version looks ready for action straight out of the box.
Included weapons are the Clay Bazooka, Beam Pistols, and Beam Saber, giving Quattro’s iconic mobile suit a full loadout display fans will instantly recognize.
The Rick Dias remains one of the most memorable mobile suits from the Gryps Conflict era, known for introducing the revolutionary 360-degree panoramic cockpit system later adopted by many future mobile suits. Unlike most units, its cockpit is located inside the head, adding another unique detail to its already standout design. Originally developed in dark colors, the red color scheme first used by Quattro Bajeena quickly became the definitive version for many fans.
With the renewed proportions, improved articulation, and refreshed detailing, this updated Rick Dias looks like another strong addition for Zeta Gundam collectors and longtime AEUG fans.

......... Why is this P-Bandai....? They planning on releasing the original as Retail instead or something...? Or they think the old version is enough to stay as retail...?
ReplyDeleteIdk, but I think the latter was the case on this one.
DeleteHeck yeah, bought!
ReplyDeletethats hilarious
ReplyDeleteLooks like Bandai is finally doing the 1.5 treatment for HG kits now. That's pretty good. Hopefully, they will include other older HG Mobile Suits to get 1.5 versions.
ReplyDeleteLooks to be taking the fixes from the Build Gamma Gundam I see.
ReplyDeletewell seeing how the gamma gundam wasn't really a brand new kit its no surprise this ver 1.5 of the rick dias is pbandai, still a shame tho
ReplyDeleteSo, its a reissue of the Rick Dias with the updated parts from the Build Gamma Gundam huh. Not really sure if its worth it considering its gonna be P-Bandai.
ReplyDeleteSo instead of completely reviving the kit, they bamboozled us by selling this 1.5 Rick Dias kit on P-Bandai. Goddamnit.
ReplyDeleteFirst the Gamma Gundam, now this? JFC, just make an HG 2.0 already, Bandai.
ReplyDeleteDang they did the Rick Dias dirty, you'd think they'd honor one of the first hguc kits with a proper revive.
ReplyDelete"you'd think they'd honor one of the first hguc kits with a proper revive"
DeleteThey did four for that. Guncannon, Gyan, Qubeley and Hyaku Shiki.
