- Various gimmicks are provided to the kit to produce accurate mechanism of the nu Gundam from the anime.
- Precise detailing and color separation are "realized" to represent a 1:1 scale model of nu Gundam.
- The shoulder armor incorporates a mechanism that expands in tandem produced by a new internal joint for this RG kit.
- Waist joints move freely with extended action to give the nu Gundam a better representation of its iconic poses.
- The legs carry a "multi-link gimmick" in which the armors on the leg and calves slides in and out to provide the kit a more realistic and natural look when in a knee-bent position.

I wonder what kind of special gimmick this kit will have.
ReplyDileuThis kit looks gorgeous. Hopefully it will rival the Sazabi for best RG.
ReplyDileuSo then P-Bandai version confirmed for the Double Fan version and the HW weapon version? What if they make High New Gundam in RG a P-Bandai too?
ReplyDileuThat seems impossible. Hi-Nu have very different frame.
DileuHere it is! The time has come! Let us rejoice! Here's to an RG Hi-Nu!
ReplyDileuthen i hipe they make the first MG nu gundam design which is close to the nu gundam in proportion (which i like better) instead of the ver. ka design
DileuIf Bandai decides to make one, they won't be using Nu as a base. Hi-Nu's a good deal smaller than Nu.
DileuOf course. The Hi-Nu design is vastly different, but let's hope we get one anyway!
DileuThe shoulders seem to hide something. Psychoframe?
ReplyDileuNah, there doesn't seem to be any
DileuDoes anyone know what is on the shoulder opposite the green sensor?
ReplyDileubazooka mount? it's a completely new fiddly bit.
DileuIt's just random detail. the other shoulder has it too, you can see it stick out from the inner frame in the detail images.
Dileuoh man, That inner frame is on par with the Sazabi. Though it looks like we're not gonna have the psychoframe, but that would still be fine
ReplyDileuarent those just antennaes? IIRC the mg has four smaller version of those. two on each side. maybe they just reduce it to one larger type
ReplyDileuOoooooh~ Look at that sexy inner frame~ Doesn't seem like any psychoframe bits like on the MG tho but ah well
ReplyDileuShoulder joints looks like RG Sazabi, it's Fragile easy to break.
ReplyDileuNot if you assemble it properly. The shoulder on Sazabi wouldn't break if you being patient and don't rush your build
DileuDoesn't seem to have transforming parts nor the green psycho frame. Not a big deal for me. I'm still getting this.
ReplyDileuI love it, thankfully there's no unnecessary psychoframe gimmick, just back to good old sliding armor plus extra articulations. And that inner frame looks great and detailed.
ReplyDileuI'll be readying my metallic green marker for this one
ReplyDileuawww, no psychoframe...
ReplyDileuWow this kit has some very impressive articulation even for RGs.
ReplyDileuNo psychoframe? I guess they are keeping it as original as possible. Maybe Bandai will make an MG 2.0 version based on this without psychoframe?
ReplyDileuThe scale's probably too small to incorporate a psychoframe that's visible like it is on the MG Ver.Ka of this thing. That's just my guess, though.
DileuI would have been amazed if they retained the psycho-frame since the Nu Gundam DOESN'T HAVE ONE (except around the cockpit)... ;-p
DileuDue to its scale, the model will be similar in size to say an MG rx-78, so none of these things stand out as special to me. If a 'standard' sized MG can have such articulation and detail then this is no different tbh. Awesome regardless, will definitely get.
ReplyDileuWhat?!
DileuIt's a real grade kit, so it's 1/144.
The rx-78 is 18 meters exactly.
The nu is 22 meters.
22m x 100 = 2200cm / 144 = 15,2cm
18m x 100 = 1800cm / 100 = 18cm
The rx 78 in master grade scale would be 2.8 cm larger.
(for comparison a hg rx-78-2 is 12,5 cm, so this nu is closer to a hg than a mg)
If there's any similar size of 1/144 Nu Gundam to an MG kit, I have to say the F91, Crossbone, or Victory Gundam.
Dileuexactly, the models aren't too far off from one another, so it's not some miracle that they're able to pull this off is what i'm saying, i'd be more impressed over the crossbone RG having this level of detail due to how small it'd be as 1/144 lol
DileuThis kit will, as stated, be closer in size to a hg than a mg.
DileuIt also contain more details than the mg 3.0 gundam.
The rg unicorn is the same size, and they fit more into that than the mg.
I think some people are forgetting that the Nu Gundam doesn't have psychoframe built into its inner frame like the Unicorn. That feature is only on the MG Nu Gundam ver Ka, which isn't the canon design. Officially, the Nu Gundam is only supposed to have psychoframe in its cockpit.
ReplyDileuThis is supposed to be based on the Ver. Ka but it does not have the psychoframe because apparently the inner frame is too small? But the RG Unicorn (and the other Unicorn RG kits) have the psychoframe. Anyway, is the RG Hi Nu Gundam going to be made too?
ReplyDileuI always thought that the Real Grade was its own thing, even though it takes some design from a Ver.Ka, It wouldn't copy it 100%.
DileuNo. Ver.Ka is it's own thing. RG Nu is designed from the original version with no psychoframe all over the body but the cockpit.
DileuReal Grades and their phenomenal box art~ <3
ReplyDileuThe waist joint assembly looks too close to the Sinanju's... I'm probably the only one a little concerned about this though... I hope this kit doesn't have too many issues.
