I was okay with and understood the HIRM red frame being as bulky as it is, but the chunkiness really doesn't lend itself well to the noir. It just looks weird.

I'm gonna have to disagree. The astray always looked twiggy for me. I like the bulky redesign. But I can see why you wouldn't.
DileuPersonally I think the stockier build (THICC!) suits the noir more than the red frame

DileuDamn these proportions fit the Noir far better than the red frame IMO. The bulkiness of the backpack blends in much better with the more weighty proportions of this kit.

I honestly want to see Hi-Res version of the Sengoku Astray, or maybe the Astray Red Dragon.

Looks terrible compared to the P-Bandai one. Some may like it but I’m not a fan of the Hi-Res Astray proportions, especially the bulkier legs

ReplyDileuI like how they *could* have done what they usually do and just release repaints, but instead they went for a retool for a very niche audience. I also feel like they're not gonna do straight up repaints with the 6th Form, Wing EW and now the Noir. Could it be they're making sure the P Bandai price is worth it by including retooling in addition to the repainted bits??

I guessing they are reusing parts from HIRM red frame so its faster to have another release of HIRM.
DileuCan we just stop with the astrays all together and make some real gundams a hi-res like gp01 or epyon.

ReplyDileuI honestly don't see the appeal in the Noir Pack on the Astray. I saw Noir and was instantly happy until it was preceded by Astray. The regular Noir would look slick as a Hi-RM. Why not the Amatsu while we're at it?
