Daban Model faces Charges for Copying Bandai's GunPla

Owner and producers of the counterfeit plastic model brand "DABAN MODEL" are facing criminal charges for producing illegal copies of copyrighted materials of Bandai / Bandai Spirits for the past years.

The report also stated that not only the head office will be at fault but also the sellers who distributes the products that may have connections to the main office of Daban Model. As of January 29, 2019, 6 sellers from China has been investigated.

We sincerely thank the Chinese government for its positive response to this complaint and the efforts to protect intellectual property rights in order to allow the infringer to bear the due legal responsibility under the Chinese law. - Bandai Spirits, Jan 29, 2019

Both Chinese government and Bandai spirits brand have agreed to cooperate to bring justice to such crime and will continue to hunt down offenders that makes imitation of NOT JUST GUNPLA but other stocks that Bandai and Bandai Spirits has.

 Products and molds of Daban model has been confiscated from its warehouse and production plant.

Back in 2017, Bandai sues the Dragon Momoko company for the same reason, and announces that they will bring down any other companies that copies their intellectual property.

  4. Good RIDDANCE. Daban's supposedly the ones that ratted out and tattled on the FAR SUPERIOR DRAGON MOMOKO KITS to BanDai which got them shut down in the first place.

    Bout damn time Daban get what's coming to them.

    1. The fact that Daban, the ultimate in straight up product theft, lasted as long as they did is more surprising than the fact that Bandai is finally proceeding with legal action against them.
