CALETVWLCH
- The very unique set of swords of Astray Red Dragon are new to this kit. It is specifically designed to match the aesthetics of the MG Gundam Astray Red Frame.
- The Caletvwlch can be modified to form either the S (sword) mode or the G (gun) mode.
FLIGHT UNIT
- The backpack features an entire new mold - featured with a racking gimmick that holds both of the beam rifle and shield when not in use.
DDRAIG HEAD
- Is a head unit designed by Lowe Guele. In the novel, it features enhanced sensors, Mirage Colloid capabilities in corporation with the Caletvwlch, which can also produce a beam antenna in numerous shapes. The beam emits from the back of its f-vin.
The MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Dragon is a customized variant of the Gundam Astray Red Frame, introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Astray R. Piloted by Lowe Guele, it features significant upgrades and unique equipment tailored for advanced combat scenarios.
The Red Dragon is equipped with three Caletvwlchs, multifunctional handheld units with Mirage Colloid scattering devices that enhance detection and mobility. These devices, mounted on the Flight Unit, give the mobile suit its distinctive dragon-like appearance, inspiring its name. It also features the Ddraig Head, a specialized head unit designed to optimize control of Mirage Colloid particles. The mobile suit retains the Gerbera Straight katana and beam sabers from the original Red Frame, with the added ability to manipulate beam energy into dischargeable energy balls.
Lowe debuted the Red Dragon in a mock battle against Rondo Mina Sahaku's Gold Frame Amatsu Mina to demonstrate the Caletvwlchs' capabilities. The Red Dragon neutralized Amatsu Mina’s Mirage Colloid stealth by scattering its own particles, enabling it to detect enemy movements. Impressed, Mina ordered 100 Caletvwlchs and offered production support through the Ame-no-Mihashira facility.
Later, Lowe used the Red Dragon to defend a facility under attack by the Destiny Impulse Gundam R and DI Adagas. In collaboration with Valerio Valeri’s Turn Red, they identified and destroyed the Destiny Impulse R, disrupting its control over the DI Adagas. Their victory showcased the Red Dragon’s versatility and tactical effectiveness.
Following the battle, Valeri challenged Lowe to a duel. Before facing Valeri’s Turn Red, Lowe had to defeat the Blau Calamity, Gelb Raider, and Rot Forbidden Gundams in a 3v1 battle. Using the Red Dragon's Caletvwlchs in full disable mode, he emerged victorious but at the cost of the weapons. During the final duel, the Ddraig Head was damaged, and Lowe replaced it with the Red Frame’s original head. The contest culminated in a melee showdown, where Lowe delivered a decisive “Red Flame” punch, forcing Valeri’s Turn Red to surrender.
The Gundam Astray Red Dragon exemplifies Lowe Guele’s ingenuity, combining unique design elements with innovative combat tactics to secure its place as a standout in the Astray series.

ReplyDeleteBored with this kit.
ReplyDeleteToo much astray series have been released, bandai just makes a difference on armament for other astray.
I don't know why, but I absolutely love the astray, it was the first kit I built, and the kit I have built the most of...astray turn red, astray noir, astray gold frame rg, astray red frame kai, sengoku astray...I just love the articulation of the kit how it can take so many poses.

ReplyDeleteWhat are the odds that it has the Red Frame Kai v-fin left over?
ReplyDeleteWill this be a Japanese P-bandai only thing like the Astray Turn Red and such?
ReplyDeleteTurn Red had a NA release. Back to the main event... The more I look at it the more I want IT, The p-Bandai s&h is 35$ unless you buy in Japan from an online store you can lower that down to 8-15$.
