The latest Gundam Ace August 2026 issue has revealed a major surprise for fans of Mobile Suit Gundam Eight. As part of the celebrations surrounding the release of the manga's second collected volume, the series has been confirmed to receive a special promotional video.
According to the announcement, the PV will be produced by animation studio Raging Bull, with acclaimed director Tomoki Kyoda serving as director. Kyoda is best known for directing Eureka Seven and also contributed storyboard work to Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
The magazine also unveiled a preview visual titled Mobile Suit Gundam Eight Prologue Vision, offering fans an early glimpse at the upcoming project.
Mobile Suit Gundam Eight Volume 2 was released in Japan on June 25, 2026, and the special PV announcement was made to commemorate the milestone.
