Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe is officially making its way to the big screen in the United States, with a theatrical release set for May 15. This gives fans across the country a chance to experience the latest chapter of the Hathaway trilogy in theaters.
Following its debut in Japan on January 30, 2026, the film continues the story of Hathaway Noa as he leads the anti-Earth Federation movement known as Mafty. Building on the grounded tone and intense mobile suit combat of the first film, this sequel pushes the scale even further, delivering high-stakes action and a deeper look into Hathaway’s role as a revolutionary.
The film has already proven to be a major success in Japan. It opened strong with approximately 840 million yen (around $5.4 million USD) in its first three days, drawing over 500,000 moviegoers. Within just five days, it surpassed 1 billion yen at the box office, showing strong momentum early in its run.
The growth didn’t stop there. In 11 days, the film crossed 1.5 billion yen with over 910,000 admissions, continuing its steady climb.
By around one month after release, it reached approximately 2.24 billion yen (about $14.3 million USD), already surpassing the total earnings of the first Hathaway film released in 2021.
Don’t miss your chance to watch Hathaway Noa lead Mafty into action on the big screen. Experience the scale, intensity, and cinematic presentation of Gundam the way it was meant to be seen when the film arrives in theaters nationwide on May 15.
