Fans of the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" series are in for a treat as Takarajimasha has announced the release of a unique Gunpla Design Items. The launch is set to coincide with the nationwide release of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" film on January 26th, offering an array of merchandise inspired by the series' popular MS models, "Rising Freedom Gundam" and "Immortal Justice Gundam".
The set, which will be available on January 24th, 2024, comprises two different types of themed tumblers, a handy bellows pouch, and a fashionable bifold wallet. These items will be available in 7-Eleven, 7net Shopping, and Takarajima Channel locations across Japan. Although availability may vary by store, fans can also make reservations online through Seven Net Shopping and Takarajima Channel.
1. The Gunpla Cup Coffee Tumblers:
These vacuum insulated tumblers, priced at 3,179 yen (including tax), are available in two designs: HG 1/144 Rising Freedom Gundam and HG 1/144 Immortal Justice Gundam. They stand 12 cm tall and have an outside diameter of 8.5 cm for the spout. Their capacity is 450 mL. These tumblers are suitable for both hot and cold beverages, with a cold retention effect of 8℃ or below for 2 hours and a heat retention effect of 40℃ or higher for 1 hour. The tumblers have bold packaging art and are engineered to avoid condensation, making them ideal for use at desks or in automobile drink holders.
2. Gunpla Design Pouch:
This 4-pocket bellows pouch costs 2,750 yen (tax included). Its dimensions are 17 x 12 x 5 cm. It is constructed of PVC and polyester. The pouch's design features the insignia of the peacekeeping organization "Compass" in silver foil stamping. Inside, there's a limited edition lining design inspired by Gunpla assembled components, as well as four compartments and three pen holders. This makes it the ideal gadget case or tool pouch for Gunpla fans.
3. Gunpla Design Wallet:
The wallet, priced at 3,179 yen (tax included), combines style and utility. It is 9 x 10 x 2 cm and is made of PVC and polyester to resemble the texture of real leather. The outside displays the "Compass" insignia, which is also stamped in silver foil. The lining features a Gunpla runner-inspired motif. Despite its compact size, the wallet includes a bill compartment, a gusseted coin pocket, and four card pockets, ensuring functionality without compromising on style.
These limited-edition goods celebrates the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" series' enduring legacy.
