Tokyo to Build Statues of Gundam and Zaku

The planned statue will be standing about 3-4 meters high, now 1/1 scale but maybe about 1/3 version, just like the ones in Hong Kong back in 2013. The estimated cost of this project is about 5.5 million yen or (about 537,000 USD). In addition to the plan, just right after they build the RX-78-2 Gundam, they will be starting the Char's Zaku II!

The project is hoping to be a great Japan tourist attraction for the years to come!

The construction of the statue will also be in honor of famed Inagi-born character designer Kunio Okawara. Okawara was the creator of the original RX-78 and Zaku II designs, as well as the designer for Inagi's official city mascot. - AnimeNewsNetwork
